A grey-blue Cubaris that establishes slowly and needs steady calcium. A common first Cubaris species for keepers coming from easier genera.
Care notes
Cubaris sp. "Rubber Ducky" is slower to establish and more calcium-dependent than most beginner isopods. Keep humidity at 85–95% RH with active ventilation, not stagnant air, and keep a permanent calcium source in the enclosure — crushed limestone, oyster shell, or cuttlebone. Colony growth is gradual; treat a small starter culture as a long-term project, not a quick win.
