Porcellionides pruinosus is one of the two most forgiving starter isopods in the hobby, alongside Porcellio scaber. It tolerates a wider humidity swing than tropical species and breeds quickly — a starter culture can multiply many times over within a few months. Keep one drier area and one lightly moist area rather than uniform dampness.
