Porcellio spatulatus is a Spanish Porcellio species, distinguished from others in the genus by broad, spade-shaped uropods. It is active during the day and stays visible in the enclosure. It reproduces more slowly than beginner species expect a longer wait before a colony produces surplus. Keep a well-ventilated enclosure with a clear moisture gradient: a damp side and a dry side, so the colony can regulate itself. Provide cork bark, leaf litter, decaying hardwood, and a permanent calcium source.
